Jodhpur is the second biggest city of Rajasthan. This city is popularly known as “ Sun City”. This is because of the bright sunny weather prevailing throughout the year. Some even refer to the city as ‘ Blue City ‘ because of the fragrance of indigo of the houses, which is white washed around Mehrangarh Fort. The location of Jodhpur city is at such a geographical point of Rajasthan that it helps the tourist to travel to any another travel destinations of the state. In the older Jodhpur there is a thick stone wall existing which has six gates like Nagauri Gate, Merati Gate, Sojati Gate, Jalori Gate, Siwanchi Gate and Chand Pol.
