Bharatpur Palace

Placed in the North eastern part of Rajasthan, the town of Bharatpur is noted for its world famous magnificent palaces and museums. Bird sanctuary of Bharatpur is one more attraction in Bharatpur. Being known as 'the Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan', Bharatpur town is positioned around 184 Kilometers away from Delhi and approximately 55 Km far from Agra. The Bharatpur town was founded by Maharaja Suraj Mal in the year of 1733 AD. The town was the strongly fortified by the defensive structure of the Jats in the 17th and 18th century.

The two placed named Deeg and Dholpur also performed a very important role in the history of Rajasthan. Among all the major attractions of Bharatpur, the Bharatpur palace is the most famous one.
